Job description

AMI offers an exciting cross-training opportunity for Technologists interested in MRI! Whether you are an experienced Technologist or a new graduate, this is a great chance to train and prepare in a growing, innovative outpatient imaging facility. Our comprehensive training program will prepare you for a new career path and help you achieve ARRT MR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate all aspects of the MR scanning unit, including system’s computer and all program modalities, to perform scans and transfer images for interpretation.
• Evaluate screening procedures to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field.
• Consult with Radiologists and implement proper scanning protocols.
• Complete daily work schedules, document in Zotec and on required forms.
• Monitor patient flow, accommodate unscheduled patients, and add-on studies.
• Perform quality control testing, equipment calibration, and maintenance procedures with proper documentation.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator.
• Participate in meetings, continuing education, and other activities.
• Respond to office codes, policies, and procedures to ensure safety and security.
• Demonstrate competency in dealing with patients of all age groups.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

This full-time position (40 hours/week) includes varying shifts Monday-Friday, with rotating evenings and weekends. Training will be provided across multiple AMI locations in New Jersey.

Candidates must be a current or upcoming graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology, Ultrasound, or MRI program; registered or registry-eligible by ARDMS or ARRT. A current BLS certification is required. Willingness to receive training and certification in venipuncture and complete MRI cross-training and ARRT MRI registry is necessary.
