Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Massachusetts is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging exams and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow policies, inform patients about exams, position patients, administer contrast where appropriate, and coordinate with radiologists. The role requires ARMRIT/ARRT/CPR certifications, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Training and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation.
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
