Johns Hopkins Intrastaff, the staffing arm for Johns Hopkins Health System, seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to obtain high-quality MRI images while delivering exceptional patient care and complying with department policies.

Location: Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center; Schedule: Fri-Sun 7:00 am–7:30 pm. Requires ARRT, MRI certification, and 2+ years MRI experience; EPIC/PACS familiarity preferred.

Formación

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• MRI Certification required.
• Minimum of two years MRI Technologist experience in hospital, acute care, or similar setting.
• Experience with EPIC and PACS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to protocols.
• Position and prepare patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer IV contrast per department policies.
• Evaluate image quality and adjust technical parameters as needed.
• Document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to support patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid.
• Support education and training of radiology students as assigned.

Job Summary: Under the limited direction of the Radiologist, general supervision of the Administrative Director, and direct supervision of the Manager of MRI/CT Services, the MRI Technologist performs professional duties related to obtaining high-quality magnetic resonance images while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.

Location: Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center

Schedule: Friday -Sunday 7:00 am - 7:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI and MRA examinations according to established protocols.
• Position and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and accurate image acquisition.
• Administer IV contrast media in accordance with department policies.
• Evaluate image quality and make necessary technical adjustments.
• Accurately document patient and exam information in EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain timely and accurate records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with patient emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary.
• Support the education and training of Radiology students as assigned.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• MRI Certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital, acute care, or comparable clinical setting.
• Experience administering IV contrast preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and PACS systems. preferred.
