Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking an MRI Technologist to support scans across multiple locations, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. This casual role requires flexibility to cover shifts from 7am to 8pm at Plymouth, Eagan, Woodlake, St. Paul, Lakeville and Vadnais Heights.

You will review safety forms, position patients, perform scans, and work with CDI to ensure accurate dictations and billing. Join a team focused on patient-first care and excellence.

Qualifications

• Flexible to cover shifts 7am–8pm across multiple MRI locations.
• Review MRI safety forms and prepare patients for examination.
• Position patients and perform MRI exams per physician requests.
• Ensure image quality and communicate with CDI for dictations.

Responsibilities

• Review MRI screening forms to ensure patient safety.
• Position patients and perform exams as instructed by physicians.
• Perform MRI following established procedures for patient care, safety, and quality.
• Review images for quality and coordinate with CDI for dictations.
• Document and charge MRI exams.
• Perform quality control checks on MRI equipment.
• Maintain MRI equipment and department cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and across the organization.
• Manage supplies and orders as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The MRI Technologist performs MRI scans to assist in the diagnoses of various diseases, ailments and injuries while providing excellent patient care.

This is a casual opportunity. Must be flexible to cover shifts between the hours of 7am - 8pm at all MRI locations. Plymouth, Eagan, Woodlake, St. Paul, Lakeville and Vadnais Heights.

• Review MRI screening form to ensure MRI safety of patient and prepare them to safely have their exam.
• Positions patients and perform exam as requested by physicians.
• Perform MRI following established procedures and protocols for patient care, safety, and quality.
• Review images to ensure image quality and communicate with CDI to ensure timely and accurate exam dictations.
• Document and charge MRI exams appropriately.
• Performs quality control checks to assure MRI equipment meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
• Cleans and maintains MRI equipment, work area, and department to ensure infection control and cleanliness.
• Facilitate good communication with co-workers and throughout the organization.
• Maintains supplies and orders as necessary.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Summit's hiring range for this position is $39.45 to $49.31 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation.
