Job summary

WakeMed Imaging Services seeks an MRI Technologist to operate advanced MRI equipment and provide high-quality diagnostic images to support patient care and clinical decisions.

You'll monitor patients, prep and position for tests, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure safety and efficiency. A radiologic technology or nuclear medicine program graduate with ARRT MRI certification is preferred, with at least one year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program.
  • ARRT-R and ARRt-MR certification, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with MRI certification as required.
  • One year of clinical radiology experience preferred.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional patient care with strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients during exams, ensuring comfort and safety while responding to changes in condition.
  • Review physician orders, prepare patients and equipment for testing, and prioritize workflow for efficient operations.
  • Accurately position patients and imaging equipment to obtain optimal images and diagnostic results.
  • Document exam information, maintain imaging equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians on patient outcomes.
