Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans. The role requires strict adherence to physician orders and imaging protocols while maintaining accurate imaging records.

Candidates should have completed an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Program, with at least 1 year of clinical radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program (required) OR Graduate of an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Program (required)

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Monitor patient condition, safety, and comfort during procedures.
• Adjust imaging equipment and controls to meet exam specifications.
• Review patient information and physician orders prior to procedures.
• Accurately record diagnostic data and maintain patient imaging records.
