Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce diagnostic MR images and support patient care. The role involves reviewing orders, selecting coils, and performing scans with appropriate protocols.

You will administer contrast and ensure patient safety while maintaining accurate documentation in EMR and PACS. Candidates should have a radiography or MRI program certificate, GED/High School diploma, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient’s chart and physician order to determine imaging parameters.
• Selects imaging coil for study and performs imaging using proper techniques.
• Works with physicians to optimize MRI sequences for high-quality images.
• Administers contrast media per dept protocols.
• Ensures patient safety and MRI safety procedures.
• Documents data in EMR/PACS/Teletracking systems.
• Performs daily QA and administrative tasks.
• Lifts and moves patients and equipment according to safety guidelines.
