Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and prepare medications as prescribed. You will ensure patient safety, follow ALARA principles, and support interventional procedures in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB MR specialization and a Radiologic Technology program degree, with a preference for a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR specialization is required.
• Graduation from a Radiologic Technology program; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification, preparation, and accurate documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA to maximize safety and image quality.
• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as ordered, evaluate images for quality, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and perform imaging as prescribed.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
