Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate and maintain MRI equipment, acquire high-quality images, and support physicians in diagnosis. This full-time role requires clinical knowledge across age groups and adherence to safety standards.

You will verify MRI requests, guide patients, calibrate consoles, handle contrast injections, and ensure accurate documentation.

Formación

• Completion of a radiologic program or equivalent military training.
• Two years in diagnostic radiology in a health care facility; one year as MRI Technologist preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Verify written requests for MRI procedures.
• Instruct patients regarding MRI procedures; prepare and position patients for imaging.
• Select imaging techniques and calibrate console and peripheral hardware.
• Obtain images, produce film records, and transfer data to workstations.
• Perform contrast injections satisfactorily.
• Maintain MRI safety per policy and standards (ACR and Joint Commission).
• Charge procedures in RMS immediately after procedure.
• Send images to PACS and verify availability for interpretation.
• Enter and monitor patient data and maintain study documentation.
• Perform quality assurance on MRI equipment and procedures.
• Maintain MRI lab supplies.
• Provide guidance in MRI procedures to staff in training as assigned.
• Demonstrate care across age groups from newborn to geriatric.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety programs.
• Obtain verbal orders per facility policy; rotate to other imaging departments.
