Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic quality images under Radiologist direction. The role involves patient care, safety protocols, contrast administration, and coordination with the medical team.

The position requires ARRT certification, BLS, and appropriate licensure with a focus on accurate record-keeping, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing education. This on-site role supports clinical workflow at St James Hospital.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT certification and Montana licensure within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Educates, interviews, screens and explains imaging and safety procedures to patients regarding radiation and MRI safety before procedures.
• Positions patient on imaging table and uses immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Administers contrast media orally or intravenously as directed by Radiologist.
• Monitors patient during procedures via direct contact or in control room/window.
• Follows safety precautions to minimize exposure to patient, self and staff.
