Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and ARRT Registry in Diagnostic Radiology within 1 year.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for required experience.
  • ARRT certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations per orders and protocols.
  • Verify patient identity and screen MRI contraindications.
  • Explain MRI procedures and ensure patient comfort during exam.
  • Position patients for optimal diagnostic images and administer contrast as ordered.
  • Operate MRI equipment and monitor image quality; maintain accurate records in EMR and PACS/RIS.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety policies; participate in on-call and weekend shifts.
