Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Radiologic Technology course and 1 year experience, and completion of an approved program in advanced modality or one year of experience in advanced modality required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for the required experience.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology on Hire required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies including confidentiality.
• Demonstrates CPR according to American Heart Association standards.
• Directly assists the Radiologist during MRI image-guided invasive procedures.
• Prepares patient for intravenous (IV) injections: starting the IV and maintaining access.
• Administers IV contrast per approved protocols.
• Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

ARRT - Diagnostic Radiology certification

Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for experience

Completion of an approved program in advanced modality or 1 year of experience in advanced modality
