Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical MRI experience.
• ARRT certification required; ARMRIT eligibility within 12 months of hire; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications.
• Operates MRI equipment and processing software following safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history and correlates findings for radiologist review.
• Maintains inventory of MRI supplies and sterilization.
• Verifies orders and patient ID prior to procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal imaging.
• Monitors MRI equipment function and reports issues promptly.
