Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies across on-site and remote settings. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, staff, patients, and customers to maintain communication and service excellence.

Training and orientation of new technologists and assistants are included. Ideal candidates contribute strong customer service skills, multitasking ability, and ARRT/ARMRIT credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT, or as allowed by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: no experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality diagnostic MR images; operate multiple MR systems.
• Ensure patient safety and pre‑screening for contraindications.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and customers.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants on site or remote.
• Travel to different locations as required.
