Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Redbird location. The role involves performing MRI imaging exams, ensuring safety, and maintaining equipment. A focus on patient screening, protocol optimization, and collaboration with physicians is essential.

The position requires ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification and a BLS certificate, with a typical Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 2 years MRI experience
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required/on hire
• BLS certification required/on hire

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and MRI protocol accuracy, screen patients for MRI suitability and contraindications.
• Conduct patient interviews and obtain medical history relevant to procedures; instruct patients on requirements.
• Perform MRI, administer contrast as appropriate, ensure proper labeling and data integrity.
• Maintain QC testing, report issues with MRI systems to biomed/engineering.
• Assist with post-processing and data archiving, ensuring patient confidentiality.
