The position requires maintaining MR safety, clinical competency, and collaborating effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Cross Country Allied seeks a qualified MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program or CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS MR registry.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of start or hire date.
• CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS MR graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire.
• Two years of imaging experience; valid ARRT/ARMRIT/ARDMS certifications plus BLS and PA Act 31/33/34/73.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform imaging procedures with MR safety adherence.
• Maintain MR safety standards in the department.
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
• Review, process, and archive images.
• Pre-exam review and present relevant information to physician per protocol.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol.
• Review patient history and orders; apply protocols for data acquisition and labeling.
• Document patient history in electronic records as required.
• Communicate clearly with patients and co-workers; demonstrate care and respect.
• Work as part of the department and with other departments to expedite care.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and secure cooperation.
• Ensure exams are coded correctly, networked for archiving/interpretation, and charges entered.
