The position requires ARRT MR registry (or CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS with MR), a minimum of 2 years MR experience, and current licenses/certifications such as ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTC, ARDMS, and BLS. Shift is rotating with 36 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS MR program.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date or hire date if already obtained; CNMT/ARDMS/ARMRIT grads must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of MR experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications include ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTC, ARDMS, and BLS; Act 31/33/34, and Act 73 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains MR safety in the department and ensures compliance with safety standards.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; prepares, labels, and administers contrast per protocol.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and ensures proper documentation and archiving of studies.
• Documents patient history in electronic records and communicates procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Ensures exams are coded, tracked, and available for archiving and interpretation; adheres to competencies and behaviors.

MRI Technologist Location unspecified. This organization is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to independently perform imaging procedures and technical diagnostics. The role involves maintaining safety standards, reviewing patient information, and ensuring accurate data acquisition for diagnostic purposes.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Rotating
• Responsibilities: Practices and maintains magnetic resonance (MR) safety in the department. Maintains clinical competency for all exams and equipment. Performs procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving. Prior to the start of an exam, reviews all relevant information with the physician based on protocol. Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol during procedures. Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal results, including labeling, preparation, and administration of contrast. Documents patient history in electronic records. Demonstrates strong interaction skills with patients and co-workers, displaying caring, listening, dignity, and respect. Communicates instructions to patients clearly, explaining procedures to help allay fears and promote cooperation. Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked, and documented, with exams properly networked for archiving and interpretation. Performs all other assigned duties, adhering to system-wide competencies and behaviors.
