Job summary

Akumin is hiring MRI Technologists across multiple North Carolina locations. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure patient comfort, explain the process, and maintain safety protocols to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.

Required ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry, CPR, and a state license as applicable. A high school diploma is required, with preference for an associate degree. Training of new staff and collaboration with radiologists are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry required or preferred.
• State license as required for practice.
• CPR certification and current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for contraindications.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Order supplies, clean unit, assist in transport preparation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PC's.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist across multiple locations.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

• Produces high quality diagnostic images.

• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS

• State License, as required.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves

• CPR certification.

• Active state driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
