Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and contribute to patient care in a clinical setting. You will operate MRI equipment, prepare medications per policy, and analyze data for accurate diagnoses.

The role emphasizes safety, ALARA principles, and collaboration with clinicians. Certification by ARRT (MR) or equivalent is required upon hire; a Radiologic Technology specialty program is expected, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification with ARRT-MR or ARMRIT credentials upon hire.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology specialty program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and ALARA principles.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders, prepare patients, verify history, and maintain confidentiality.
• Use MRI protocols, optimize factors, ensure patient safety, and apply ALARA.
• Assess image quality, verify data storage/transfer, and post-process as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare staff; assist with MRI-guided procedures.
• Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Demonstrate commitment to department priorities and participate in quality improvement.

Role Overview:

MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently execute MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications per legal and institutional policies, and analyze data for accurate diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, verify clinical history, and maintain confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, ensure patient safety, and apply ALARA principles.
• Assess image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and post-process images as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI-guided procedures.
• Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Demonstrate commitment to departmental priorities, proficiency in routine and complex duties, and participate in quality improvement activities.
