Overview

Job Description

Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under the supervision of a physician, adhering to protocol standards. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Administration of MRI contrast per protocol
• Evaluating and approving patient MRI safety screening forms prior to entry into the scanner
• Knowledge of MRI safety zones and regulations
• Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating implants and devices through vendor resources
• Acting as a liaison with physicians and support staff
• Maintaining patient records, reports, and files
• Performing MRI exams per protocol and reviewing images for accuracy and quality
• Explaining procedures to patients and completing departmental documentation

Requirements:

• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire
• Intravenous (IV) competency preferred

Education

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate

Certification/Licensure

• ARRT or MR certification

Experience

• Minimum 1 year radiologic technologist experience
