Job summary

Shields Health Care Group seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to support high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure patient safety, communicate exam details clearly, and position patients for accurate imaging with care.

Requirements include MRI scanning experience and ARRT/CPR certifications; ARMRIT may be accepted at some locations. You will work on-site across assigned centers with supportive teams and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform patients about their exam to their level of understanding.
• Position patients accurately and ensure comfort during the exam.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Conduct MRI scans per center protocol and administer contrast when needed.
• Complete all forms and record data in the Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CDs when appropriate and forward data to Radiologist.
• Assist clerical staff as needed and keep equipment/rooms clean and stocked.

The hours for this opening are: E/O Saturday 7am-11pm and E/O Sunday 2:30pm-11pm.

What you will do:

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.

Contrast administration

What you need:

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
