The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations in an on-site, patient-facing setting at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD. In this full-time role, the technologist prepares and positions patients for imaging, operates MRI equipment, and follows established protocols to produce accurate diagnostic images. Day-to-day tasks include verifying patient information, explaining procedures to patients, monitoring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with radiologists and other care team members to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. The MRI Technologist also maintains equipment and exam rooms, adheres to radiation safety and infection control standards, and documents procedures in alignment with hospital and regulatory requirements.
