Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures for diverse clinical indications. You will expertly operate advanced MRI equipment, position patients, and tailor scan protocols to clinical needs to ensure optimal image quality for diagnostic interpretation.

The role requires strong MRI physics knowledge, cross-sectional anatomy, and the ability to produce high-resolution, artifact-free images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required.
• Must meet WA State requirements to apply ionizing radiation and be certification-eligible.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Proficient with computer systems, including billing/scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology and MRI physics.
• Excellent public relations skills.
• Ability to multitask and assist in moving large patients with safety.
• Must obtain MR Registry within one year of hire.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our MRI Technologist, you will be a vital diagnostic professional, performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance procedures for a wide variety of clinical indications while maintaining exceptional patient comfort. Every day you will expertly operate advanced MRI equipment, meticulously positioning patients, tailoring scan protocols to specific clinical needs, and ensuring optimal image acquisition for accurate diagnostic interpretation. To be successful in this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of MRI physics and cross-sectional anatomy to produce consistently high-resolution, artifact-free images across a diverse range of studies.

Job Requirements

Required

• Current registration with the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)


• Must meet minimum requirements for Washington State to apply ionizing radiation and be certification-eligible (if not certified with Washington State, will not perform venapuncture or administer diagnostic agents and must obtain certification with Washington State within thirty (30) days of employment)


• Current CPR certification


• Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on technical and billing/scheduling systems


• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology and magnetic resonance physics


• Excellent public relations skills


• The ability to multitask; the ability to lift equipment and assist in moving large patients


• Must be able to satisfy magnetic resonance and employee safety requirements


• Must obtain MR Registry within one (1) year of hire
