ADP, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist for a part-time onsite role in Seaford, NY, assisting radiologists with a range of MRI exams at the Massapequa Imaging location affiliate site.

The candidate will perform patient screening, position patients, and manage imaging procedures under supervision. The ideal candidate holds an accredited Radiologic Technology degree, NY licensure, ARRT MR credential, and BLS certification, with MRI experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for MR positions; MR registration within 18 months.
• IV Contrast Administration certification within six months of entry date.
• BLS/BCLS certification within six months of entry date.

Responsabilidades

• Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.
• Ensures no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room.
• Prepares patient for exam by positioning on the exam table within the gantry.
• Enters patient history data from requisition by Radiologist/Clinician, including area of interest.
• Performs MRI procedures (abdomen, thorax, neuro, extremities, etc.).
• Reports any patient motor abnormalities or adverse reactions to Radiologist/Clinician.
• Performs minor repairs and calibration checks and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Performs related duties as required and considered essential functions.

The Position

We are seeking entry level or experienced MRI Technologists to perform a variety of MRI Imaging exams including Body, Neuro, MSK, Chest, and Cardiac scans and to assist our Radiologists during Biopsy procedures at our Massapequa Imaging location.

Job Responsibility

• Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.


• Ensures no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room.


• Prepares patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table within the gantry.


• Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist/Clinician to include anatomical area of interest.


• Performs MRI procedures to include: abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub‑periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies, etc.


• Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the nearest Radiologist/Clinician.


• Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.

Job Qualification

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.


• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.


• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for positions filled after September 5, 2010 . ARRT registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required within eighteen (18) months of entry date into position.


• Certified in IV Contrast Administration required within six (6) months of entry date into position.


• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) required within six (6) months of entry date into position .


• Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist, required . Previous MRI experience, preferred.


• Knowledge of MRI equipment and protocols, preferred .
