Job summary

Lourdes Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in Washington. This PRN role involves educating patients, administering contrast, monitoring patient status, and ensuring high-quality MR imaging across procedures.

Responsibilities include equipment preparation, imaging parameter selection, safety QC, troubleshooting, patient positioning, and analyzing results to resolve image quality issues. BLS-HCP required; ARRT/NMTCB MR registry or eligibility within 1 year is expected.

Qualifications

  • ARRT/NMTCB MR program completion is required or registry in Radiology/MRT/MRI.
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

  • Analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; repositions as needed to optimize results.

How you'll contribute

An MRI Technologist who excels in this role:

  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

What we're looking for

Education: Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine required. Associate's degree preferred.

Experience:1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures preferred.

Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required; ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required. ARRT Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required (within 1 year hire/transfer)

Hourly range:$41.61 - $64.32
