Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to deliver high-quality MRI imaging with compassionate patient care. You will prepare patients, review orders, and operate Siemens MRI equipment to maximize image quality while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires ARRT registrations and compliance with NH+C procedures. The position offers evening hours (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) with a 1.0 FTE schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registration in Radiology.
• ARRT (MR) registration in Magnetic Resonance or eligible for ARRT (MR).
• Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete requirements within 90 days.

Job description

Summary

Successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing diagnostic MRI imaging of designated anatomical areas in a compassionate and safe manner and in accordance with established practices and procedures. Performs basic and advanced protocols and uses/manipulates hardware and technical parameters to maximize Magnetic Resonance image quality and acquire images. Prepares and maintains records and files. May perform other radiology procedures as needed.

Compensation

We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $41.06–$57.96. This range reflects the base pay for this position.

A starting wage floor of $44.92 per hour is currently in effect for this position. This rate reflects our current compensation practices and may be adjusted in the future in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver excellent patient care by demonstrating compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient questions and completing exams in a timely manner
• Prepare patient for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct exam to be performed, accurately assessing patient’s needs, positioning patient appropriately for exam and providing patient education
• Perform quality exams by operating applicable Imaging equipment competently, including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure optimal quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam
• Maintain accurate patient records by completing correct and timely entries in all electronic health systems (i.e. HIS/RIS, PHA, PACS) and department specific programs

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) – ARRT registration in Magnetic Resonance or completed ARRT (MR) eligibility requirements
• Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter).
• Complete required de-escalation and crisis prevention training upon hire and on an annual basis, including adherence to NH+C reporting standards, preparedness protocols, and response procedures.
• Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.
• Siemens MRI experience, preferred

Schedule

• 80 hours per two-week pay period (1.0 FTE)
• Shift: 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.; days negotiable and coordinated with the department upon hire
