As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You will ensure effective communication with Radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in a mobile environment. When required, you will train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and possibly overseeing remote MR Technologists Assistants.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images, with operation of multiple MR systems as needed.
- Using all communication channels effectively to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
- Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists.
- Training and orienting new staff both on site and remotely.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Technologist by ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMDS.
- MR registered technologist (R.T. (MR)) ARRT or ARMRIT.
- Registration in other modalities is acceptable.
- CPR Certification.
- Performing mid-day moves as required.
- COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening are required for all candidates accepting employment.
- Local travel may be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of MRI experience.
- Registry in Magnetic Resonance by ARRT.
Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to outside weather conditions during mobile unit operations.
- Exposure to strong magnetic fields, blood/body fluids, infectious and environmental hazards.
- More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk, perform repetitive movements, communicate effectively.
- Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, balance, lift/move patients.
