Base pay range

$68.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Pay Range: $68 - $80 Per hour

Day shift: 7:30-4pm - SUNDAYS ONLY. Each candidate will scan 10-12 patients per day. AART Certified, experience in this role.

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks.
2. Performs MRI imaging procedures. Operates and/or prepares specialized equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures.
3. Assists, prepares, and positions patients as required to perform MRI procedures.
4. Applies technical judgment to obtain studies of acceptable diagnostic quality according to protocols and patient needs.
5. Provides patient education regarding imaging procedures, including instructions and information about the process.
6. Reviews patient safety questionnaires and follows MRI safety precautions prior to scanning.
7. Ensures patients are cleared before transitioning between zones.
8. Assists in administering opaque media and loading power injectors under aseptic conditions.
9. Positions patients and coils to obtain optimal studies.
10. Scans patient documents and ensures images are properly labeled.
11. Assists physicians as required.
12. Evaluates radiographs for quality and transmits images to PACS promptly.
13. Maintains cleanliness of radiology room and equipment.
14. Maintains supplies necessary for imaging duties.
15. Accurately records patient tracking information into the Radiology Information System (IDX).
16. Schedules exams and ensures completion of studies in IDX.
17. Reports equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
18. Adheres to infection control policies to prevent spread of infection.
19. Attends professional development meetings as required.
20. Maintains licensure and certifications, including adherence to Article 35 of the Public Health Code.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State License (L.R.T.) and IV Certification.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MRI certified).
• BLS certification.
