Base pay range
$68.00/hr - $80.00/hr
Pay Range: $68 - $80 Per hour
Day shift: 7:30-4pm - SUNDAYS ONLY. Each candidate will scan 10-12 patients per day. AART Certified, experience in this role.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks.
- Performs MRI imaging procedures. Operates and/or prepares specialized equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures.
- Assists, prepares, and positions patients as required to perform MRI procedures.
- Applies technical judgment to obtain studies of acceptable diagnostic quality according to protocols and patient needs.
- Provides patient education regarding imaging procedures, including instructions and information about the process.
- Reviews patient safety questionnaires and follows MRI safety precautions prior to scanning.
- Ensures patients are cleared before transitioning between zones.
- Assists in administering opaque media and loading power injectors under aseptic conditions.
- Positions patients and coils to obtain optimal studies.
- Scans patient documents and ensures images are properly labeled.
- Assists physicians as required.
- Evaluates radiographs for quality and transmits images to PACS promptly.
- Maintains cleanliness of radiology room and equipment.
- Maintains supplies necessary for imaging duties.
- Accurately records patient tracking information into the Radiology Information System (IDX).
- Schedules exams and ensures completion of studies in IDX.
- Reports equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Adheres to infection control policies to prevent spread of infection.
- Attends professional development meetings as required.
- Maintains licensure and certifications, including adherence to Article 35 of the Public Health Code.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
- New York State License (L.R.T.) and IV Certification.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MRI certified).
- BLS certification.
