Job description

Join to apply for the MRI Technologist role at Boston Children's Hospital.

In this role, you will perform routine MRI procedures on a scheduled and emergency basis, ensuring a safe environment for patients and adhering to departmental quality control and data integrity workflows.

New hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstract data from patient charts, and determine the appropriateness of prescribed procedures based on diagnosis and clinical signs.
• Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify normal and pathological anatomy.
• Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status, develop care plans tailored to their needs, and respond to their questions regarding the exam and magnetic field environment.
• Create a supportive environment for patients and families by responding to their individual needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in allied health.
• Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for MRI.
• ARRT MRI registry eligible and completed within 18 months of hire; must maintain ARRT certification.
• BLS certification.
