Qualifications

Job Summary
This position involves performing congenital cardiac MRI procedures, evaluating imaging requisitions, ensuring patient identification and safety, and tailoring care based on individual patient needs, while maintaining high standards of service, communication, and clinical accuracy. The role also includes equipment monitoring, operational support, compliance with regulations and hospital values, and ongoing professional development.
New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Cardiac MRI Procedures: Perform scheduled and emergency congenital cardiac MRI exams, ensuring appropriate technique, patient safety, and accurate imaging based on clinical indications.

  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Evaluate patients' physical and emotional status, communicate effectively with families, and tailor care plans to meet individual needs.

  • Equipment Operation and Quality Control: Select proper imaging equipment and parameters, report equipment malfunctions, and follow quality assurance protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  • Compliance and Operations Support: Maintain compliance with hospital policies (e.g., patient ID, HIPAA), assist with daily operations, and participate in departmental initiatives.

  • Professional Development and Collaboration: Stay current with required licensure, participate in continuing education, and uphold organizational values through teamwork and high-reliability practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Allied Health required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Radiologic Technologist with training in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.
License/Certification:

  • MRI registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and completed within 18 months of hire date.
  • Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Current MA Rad Tech license for MRI preferred
