Job description

Position Summary

In this role, you will perform routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis while providing a safe environment for patients and following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.

New hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.00.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and evaluate requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining the appropriateness of the prescribed procedure based on diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
2. Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify both pathologic and normal anatomy.
3. Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status, ability to respond to instructions, and develop a care plan tailored to the patient's specific needs.
4. Explain the examination process and answer questions from patients and parents regarding the exam and magnetic field environment.
5. Create a supportive environment by responding to the unique needs of each patient and their family.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Associate's degree in allied health.

License/Certification:

• Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for MRI.
• MRI registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and must complete certification within 18 months of hire.
• Must successfully complete and maintain ARRT certification.
• BLS certification.
