Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures in an outpatient setting, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT MR certification or eligibility, 1–2 years of MRI experience, and compliance with MRI safety standards. Collaborative care with radiologists and team members is essential to deliver accurate imaging results.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility; ARRT (R) preferred.
  • Active state licensure (if applicable).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years MRI experience preferred; new grads considered.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
  • Verify patient identification and imaging protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI exams with safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast agents per orders.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during scans.
  • Maintain records in PACS/RIS.
  • Follow MRI safety policies and screening procedures.
  • Inspect equipment and report issues.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and technologists.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay certified.
