Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a PRN MRI technologist to join the imaging team in Mansfield, Texas. The role focuses on patient care, accurate imaging, and safety throughout MRI procedures.

The position offers day shift coverage with no on-call requirement, and a competitive pay range. Applicants should have MRI experience and current CPR certification, with ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• ARRT MRI certification OR ARMRIT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use with routine equipment safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using immobilization and coil placement techniques for high quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast per safety guidelines; monitors for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system QC checks per departmental policies.

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required]
