Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to support daily imaging operations. This role involves preparing exam rooms, educating patients on MRI procedures, and ensuring high-quality imaging through precise patient positioning and contrast administration.

The candidate should have 1+ years in radiology, knowledge of MRI scanners, and strong customer service skills, with BLS CPR and ARRT MR (ARMRIT preferred) credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; High school diploma required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• ARRT MR certification required; ARMRIT preferred.
• 1+ years radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and ready for use; equipment safety checks.
• Notify staff when inventory is low.
• Educate patients on MRI procedures, contrast use and safety.
• Position patients accurately for high-quality imaging.
• Prepare and monitor IV contrast and patient reactions.
• Perform daily QC checks per department policies.

Job Description:

PRN, as needed PRN Rate: $47.58/hour Coverage Need: Monday - Friday Days No Call Requirement

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.

• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required]
• Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required]
