Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist in Massachusetts to support a fast-paced imaging environment. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality scans while collaborating with radiology staff.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule that includes Tue 12:30p–12a, Wed 12:30p–12a, and Fri 5p–12a. ARRT/CPR certifications are required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience is required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications are required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some locations may require call rotation.
• Lift up to 25 pounds; accommodations available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exam details.
• Position patients for scans and ensure comfort.
• Maintain contact with patients during exams.
• Perform scans per center protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete forms and enter data into the system.
• Provide films/CDs and forward to Radiologist.

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What you need:

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description:

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
