Job summary

Shields Health Care Group seeks an MRI Technologist to support high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires MRI scanning experience, ARRT and CPR certifications, with ARMRIT accepted at some sites.

Expect responsibilities including patient positioning, safety checks, contrast administration, data entry, and coordination with radiologists. Shift hours vary (e.g., Tue 8:30am–7:00pm, Thu 7:30am–7:00pm, Sun 9:00am–3:00pm) across locations in

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety.

Hours: Tuesdays: 830am-7p, Thursdays: 730am-7p and E/O Sundays: 9a-3pm

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.

What you need

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds

Additional Job Description

• Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
