Job description

SUMMARY: Operates MRI scanner; reviews images in PACS. Prepares patient, room, and equipment. Orders supplies and medication. Administers exams and medications according to age-specific standards. Ensures safe operation of the magnet while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety. Assists in service marketing as requested. Utilizes RIS and SCM systems and participates in ongoing training and education related to positioning, technique, and MRI safety guidelines.

Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; MRI certification within one year of hire.

Preferred Education/Training: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.

Preferred Experience: PRN MRI Tech II ONLY: 2-3 years MRI experience.

Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS certification.
