Wake Radiology is seeking a certified MRI technologist to perform imaging procedures in our diagnostic imaging centers. This position is full-time and includes weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for weekend positions.
Major Position Functions
- Perform duties related to MRI procedures, including patient interviews, positioning, and imaging, as well as other duties as assigned.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and address any concerns or contraindications.
- Position patients and coils according to protocols, enter patient data, and operate MRI equipment.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- View and assess images for quality assurance.
- Respond flexibly to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Minimize non-productive time and prepare for future needs through activities like education and organization.
- Organize work area to complete varied assignments efficiently.
- Take initiative and make decisions independently when necessary.
Physical Demands and Activities
- Walking, standing, sitting, and physical activity involved in patient handling.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, wear lead aprons, and perform physical tasks required in MRI procedures.
- Visual and auditory acuity; exposure to infectious environments.
- Work at various facilities and manage own transportation.
Position Requirements
- Associate's or two-year degree in radiography and MRI certification.
- Current ARRT and MRI registration.
- CPR certification and OSHA training completion.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
