Shields Health Care Group is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to provide skilled imaging in a fast-paced clinic. You will ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, administer contrast, and document exam data while maintaining safety and high-quality service.

The role requires ARRT/CPR credentials and MRI experience, with ARMRIT accepted at some locations, and involves on-site shifts across a hospital network in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit for extended periods and assist patients with mobility; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exams to their level of understanding.
• Position patients accurately and ensure comfort during imaging.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during exams.
• Administer contrast when required and complete exam forms.
• Operate and liaise with Radiologist for image transfer.

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What you need

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description:

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
