Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and specialized imaging procedures. Join our compassionate team to assist patients and ensure high-quality diagnostic reports for physicians.

• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and position patients compassionately.
• Start IVs for contrast injection if necessary.
• Assess and adjust image quality as needed.
• Release patients with post-procedure instructions.
• Prepare the room and sterilize equipment between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

Responsibilities

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
• On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
