Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine and specialized MRI studies and present images to Radiologist for diagnostic reports.

You will work Thursday-Saturday, 6:30am-7:00pm with a call schedule including weeknights and weekends as described in the posting. Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program; ARRT registered; MR eligibility within 1 year; BCLS within 30 days; 2–3 years MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT registered.
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will compassionately assist and position patients.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

MRI Technologist

Job Summary And Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

Schedule

Thursday-Saturday, 6:30am-7:00pm. Call requirement: 1 weeknight every 2 weeks, every 10th weekend (Sat/Sun 24 hours of call), and every 16th Friday night
