Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is seeking an MRI Technologist for part-time evening shifts (7pm-12:30am). The role supports patient care in a diagnostic imaging environment, performing MRI procedures with precision and compassion to deliver quality results.

You will work under the MRI Supervisor, ensuring efficient department operation, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and development of skills in imaging, patient communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• ARRT-MR current or registry eligible; must be registered within 6 months.
• ARRT-R current or registry eligible.
• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One-year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operation of the MRI department while balancing budget, equipment and staffing needs.
• Assess data to meet age-specific patient requirements across adolescents to geriatric patients.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic patient care, protecting patient rights and dignity.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician. MRI Technologist are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What you will do in this role

• You will assist the MRI Supervisor day-to-day operation of the department keeping in mind and balancing budgetary constraints, equipment and personnel needs, quality improvement and exceptional care for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
• You will deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients

What qualifications you will need

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program
• (ARRT-MR) Current registration or registry eligible. Must be registered within 6 month.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
