Job summary

Shields Health Solutions, MA-based radiology provider, seeks an MRI technologist with MRI scanning experience. The role requires MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications and strong interpersonal skills. Weekend shifts with a 20k sign-on bonus and flexible schedule are available.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, imaging per protocol, contrast administration, data entry, and collaboration with radiology staff. On-site role with full-time hours and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients of exam details to their understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of contraindications and hazards.
• Position the patient for comfort and accuracy.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scans according to center protocols.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
• Record patient data in the Tech Data Entry system.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data/films/CD to Radiologist after exam.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms.
• Adhere to training/licensing requirements per policy.

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What you need:

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description:

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
