Upon the order of a qualified physician, the MRI Technologist will utilize equipment that employs high field magnetic energy to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Medical Imaging Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location; therefore, performance of certain MR and MRA exams may be required depending on the assigned site. The MRI Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical, if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor to perform those duties.

Job Type: Full Time
$70,267 – $86,816 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Education sufficient to meet the ACR accreditation guidelines for an MRI Technologist.
Preferred: Healthcare Related degree.
Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI.
Preferred: 2 years of experience in MRI.
Required: ARRT (R) MRT registry within one year of hire.
MRT-General Certificate or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists).
BCLS certification.
Preferred: RT(R)(MR).
Required: Ability to use a computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition, venipuncture.
Preferred: PACS and RIS experience.
Required: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred: N/A.
