Job summary

The VIOS Clinic in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using MRI with strict adherence to ALARA principles and patient safety. You will obtain orders, prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, evaluate image quality, document clinical history, and support students and healthcare staff through education and safety training.

Qualifications

• Certification or eligibility in MR imaging per ARRT/other certs.
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program; bachelor's preferred.
• Proficiency in MRI procedures, patient safety, and care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and assist with magnetic resonance interventions.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols, demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Role Overview:

MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequency within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications per regulations, and analyze acquired data for diagnosis.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR, or equivalent certifications.
