Job summary

BJC HealthCare’s Alton Memorial Hospital is hiring a Full-time MRI Technologist in Alton, IL. The role involves imaging across MRI and related modalities within Twin Rivers MRI, with 3-day 12-hour shifts and periodic call rotation. Cross-training in MRI is encouraged; RT(R) or MRI registration is required.

As part of the team, you will prepare patients and equipment, perform studies independently, and contribute to high-quality diagnostic imaging services for both adults and children.

Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic imaging in MRI and related modalities.
• Must be RT(R) registered or MRI registered.
• Experience with multiple imaging techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, including on-call and portable exams.
• Maintains quality and safety standards during procedures.

BJC HealthCare is now hiring a Full-time MRI Technologist at our Alton Memorial Hospital location.

Position Details

:60;Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants)

Full-time (Days) 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week Monday, Tuesday, Friday 6:30 a.m to 7:00 p.m. Call Rotation Required (Every 5th Weekend 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Willing to cross train in MRI!! (Must be R.T. (R) registered if not (MRI) registered)

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Twin Rivers MRI is located within Alton Memorial Hospital. Twin Rivers has some of the newest technology available today, and is one of three in the St. Louis and IL metro region to house a 3.0 Tesla MRI unit. This MRI unit is a powerful imaging system

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
