Job summary

BJC HealthCare at Alton Memorial Hospital is seeking a Full-time MRI Technologist to join Twin Rivers MRI. The position features 10-hour shifts, four days per week, Tuesday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a call rotation every 5th weekend (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).

Cross training in MRI is encouraged; applicants must be RT (R) registered if not MRI registered. Education required is Associate or Trade School Equi, with no prior experience required.

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.

Twin Rivers MRI is located within Alton Memorial Hospital. Twin Rivers has some of the newest technology available today, and is one of three in the St. Louis and IL metro region to house a 3.0 Tesla MRI unit. This MRI unit is a powerful imaging system

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
