Operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. Work includes preparing and operating MRI equipment, positioning patients correctly, recording diagnostic images, and sending results to physicians. Work is performed under strict safety, regulatory, and departmental standards.
Incumbents are also accountable for applying aseptic techniques, maintaining quality control, and continuing education in physics, anatomy, techniques, and medical terminology.
