Shields Health has an exciting opportunity for an MRI Technologist, to work part-time or per diem with flexible options available!

• Fridays 7am-5:30pm (Mass Bay - Dorchester) and/or Saturdays 7am - 5:30pm (Dedham)
• Per diem hours available

The Role:

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about their exams according to their understanding.
• Ensure patient clearance of contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain contact with patients during exams.
• Perform scans according to protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete exam documentation.
• Record patient data accurately.
• Provide films/CDs when appropriate.
• Forward data or films/CDs to Radiologists.
• Assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and resupply equipment and rooms.
• Adhere to licensing and credentialing requirements.

The Skills:

Prior MRI experience is required. Necessary certifications include MRI, ARRT, and CPR. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Additional requirements:

• Sit and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Participate in call schedules at inpatient locations if required.
• Push, pull, and lift at least twenty-five pounds.
