Job Summary and Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist, you will assist physicians in magnetic resonance imaging procedures, supporting patient care and departmental needs. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and completing patient paperwork, scheduling, physician orders, logs, records, consents, and charges.
• Transporting patients and monitoring equipment safety.
• Explaining procedures to reduce patient anxiety and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
• Collaborating with the team to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited technologist program.
• Current Texas licensure (TDH).
• CT registry preferred; MRI registry required within 6 months if eligible.
• Minimum 2 years hospital imaging experience; 1 year in CT or MRI preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
